Kiri Island is a medium sized island just off the coast of modern day Tokyo, Japan. It is a man-made island that was created due to overcrowding in Japan. Many people are moving out here in hopes of starting a new life, escaping their troubles, or have just been sent to see what it is like for future prospects.
It is currently the month of August in the middle of the summer holidays.
Students do not have to go back to school for another three weeks, but the school board is holding an early Festival to welcome the new locals and to allow the students to meet each other before the start of term....
